Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to do anything to get ready for your visit?
Good news—no! I bring all basic supplies with me, so there’s nothing you need to prepare or buy. There’s also no need to worry about what I might think. Truly—I’ve seen it all, and my goal is to help, not find fault.
I have physical limitations. Do I need to exert myself?
Not at all. Many of my clients have physical limitations, and even stay seated and simply tell me their decisions while I do the physical work. Any assistance you give is appreciated, but not required.
What happens to trash, recycling, and donations?
Any trash or recycling will be taken to your outdoor bins. I offer to drop off one SUV load of donations at Goodwill, or I can load donations into your vehicle if you prefer. If I deliver your donations, I can provide a Goodwill receipt upon request.
Do you work in my area?
I’ve helped clients throughout the bi-state Missouri/Illinois area. For locations outside St. Charles County, MO or West St. Louis County, MO, a modest travel fee applies. Contact me with your city and state for an exact quote.
Clients anywhere in the U.S. can also take advantage of my Virtual Coaching / Strategy Sessions via FaceTime.
How long will it take for me to get organized?
Most clients are surprised by how much we accomplish in just one session. Progress depends largely on how quickly decisions can be made.
We typically start with non-sentimental items. Most clients find decision-making gets faster and easier as we go along. I provide gentle coaching through any indecision. We can schedule as few or as many sessions as you wish. I support your goals and standards.
What if I have anxiety about decluttering?
That’s common. I’ve been helping people who struggle with anxiety, ADHD, grief and trauma for over 20 years. You’ll always be treated with respect and compassion. That heavy feeling is usually replaced with empowerment and excitement.
